Bill,
You can INDEED rearrange the toolbars how every you like within MLCAD. You can drag each toolbar and place them side by side horizontally along the top or bottom or right side or left side of MLCAD. You can even drag them OUTSIDE of MLCAD and have them floating on your desktop!
By default when MLCAD is installed all the toolbars run off and claim there own hotizontal space along the top of the MLCAD screen. The results is not a pertty sight as you have seen with each on taking more and more space. =( However, the developer of MLCAD used the Photoshop method of flexible toolbars. Also if you do a right click on the toolbar area you have the option to "hide" some of the toolbars. Most beginner users do not need ALL the toolbars that MLCAD has. There is one toolbar in particular that unless you are a PARTS CREATOR will never use. That is the one that allows you to create lines (the basics of all ldraw parts). Some of the others are redundant or used every now and then that you can saftey hide them and go digging for them thru the file menu.

Hello Ahui,
I'm not seeing this question in the FAQ, Tutorials, or archives (the
amount of junk e-mail there kind of turned me off really searching the
archives :-() so I thought I would try e-mailing you.
I'm kind of still learning to use MLCAD, using the Tutorials to help
figure out things as I go. I do have one problem, though.
Each toolbar is put in the top of the window under the ones above. Is
there a way to concacentate them so that there isn't so much wasted
space at the top of the MLCAD window? That space could be used to
increase the size of the listing boxes on the left, for one thing. I've
tried to drag and drop them, looked under Settings, etc., but so far
have not found a way to make them go across then down the top of the
MLCAD window. Right now, they just go down along the left edge.
If we could align them across and then down, that would also give us
more drawing room in the various views.
Best regards,
Bill B.
