[HelpDesk] LPub.exe will not load

OS is XP Prof sp2. Student has 'user' rights to the local file system and machine.
When attempting to launch Lpub.exe  as student the error message pops up:

Cannot find POV-Ray, LDGLite or LDView installation Registry entries.

After clicking OK on this box a second box appears:

You must install a renderer before using LPub.

When logging in as an Administrator with full rights Lpub
launches fine.

What are the minimum rights needed to launch LPub?
