Alan,

Kevin Clague is the developer of LPub and should be able to provide some help. Although from the looks of your email it looks like it's a WINDOWS user rights permission issue and not LPub per say.

How was the LDraw software installed? Using the ALL IN ONE INSTALLER or each application done by itself. I have CCed Kevin on this to help out.

I have been unable to launch LPUB as a student
with user rights to the local machine since
applying all recent Microsoft updates to XP
and Iexplorer. A "Browse for folder" box will
pop up with the icon for Desktop. There is no ability to browse lower than desktop level to
find the LDraw subdirectories. The only option is to cancel whereas a box pops up with the message:
Please install LDRAW before running LPUB.
Giving Student administrator rights to the local machine works but this configuration does not conform to our Computer use Policy for the district. Student rights to local machine:
C:\Windows\LDraw.in -Full rights
C:\LDRAW -Full rights
C:\Program Files\POV-RAY for Windows v3.6 -Full rights
