Philip there are no converters that I know of that will do the LDraw to CAD-Application that you mention. This is partly because the majority of LDraw users use MLCAD and 99% of the part developers (all volunteers) have focused on the LDraw file format.

You are more than welcome to create parts in the CAD-application of your choice. The decision to have those parts on LDraw however is not mine to make. That is an issue for the LDraw governing board. Hollywood can you please ensure that this gets to them please.

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to get the files in your Part-Libraries in a common file format for CAD-Applications like SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Pro/E etc. It's because these programs are (in my eyes) much more convenient for assembling things like LEGO-Models than LDraw (And the other free editors) is.
If there's nothing like that available, I could offer you to start creating some parts, especially the technic ones. Maybe you could provide some space on your server for these files?

Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend,
Philipp
