L3P is a DOS command line application that is used to convert your LDraw files to POV-Ray files so that you can render them.  To make it easy to use L3PAO was created as a graphical interface for L3P so that you don't have to type in all your commands.

If you installed all the LDraw software then look for an icon for L3PAO and that will help you out.

i have installed l draw and all its components except L3P hasnt
 installed. Ive tried opening it and it opens the little black box where it
 sais press any button to continue. Everytime I press a buttom it abruptly
 quits. what do i do to install L3P?
