Clicking on run??? I'm not sure I understand where you are clicking on run.
Installing Ldraw and the parts is only the first step.  You need an editor to be able to "see" the parts and build models.

Since you have windows XP may we suggest that you install the ALL IN ONE INSTALLER located here:
http://www.ldraw.org/Article104.html

Install under the default BASIC mode and you will get an editor (MLCAD) and viewer (LDVIEW) along with a few basic models to start you off with.

I have instaled ldraw and the parts list, but when I click run nothing happens. how do I fix this problem?
