I just ran the posted script on my computer and received a correct 
render.  To answer your previous question the "-mF" tag off screen 
renders the whole model and not the steps in the model vice the "-mS" 
which renders the individual steps

The "-geometry 800x" tag shrinks the image proportionally to an 800 by 
[some proportional value], basically it makes the top edge of the image 
800 pixels while maintaining the aspect ratio of the image.

I noticed your announcement, hopefully we can work out the kinks.  I 
also agree with Tim G that maybe we should scale down to every 2 months 
or simply change the name of the contest to "LDraw.org Featured Model" 
and have a mostly monthly format.
