Doing a random sampling of the site in general, I see that most pages don't
set the width of the middle column to be 70% of the space available to the
middle column.  In fact, the only place I see that does do this is the main
page.  And quite frankly, it looks pretty bad, not to mention squeezing the
content into a really small width, unless your web browser is set really
wide.  Why is 30% of the overall real estate being wasted?
