Sorry, what is meant by "all the wiki crap" ?? The usual statements
about copyright of the image strike me as important, it's good to
clarify what is happening to the image's rights etc. (that does not
mean that uploading it HAS to grant rights other thanthe right to use
for the contest). Or did you mean something else.
Wiki upload pages can be customised by any admin and you can have more
than one page, this page could be a special one with special
statements. I'm not an admin on the LDraw wiki but look at the upload
pages for Commons, there are several. For example
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&uselang=fromwikimedia
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&uselang=fromflickr
http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Upload&uselang=ownwork
are completely different pages in appearance.
That said, if there is an easy thing to do that makes this
functionality available (easier than coding up a change in the wiki)
sure, why not. I threw the wiki idea out as an idea. It's robust
technology that is very adaptable.
